With the cluelessness of Rochas Okorocha and a mind that seems deranged either deliberately or without his consent, none would imagine that he can find someone to beat his record and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has proved that in so many ways. The frustrations with Yahaya Bello stems from the fact that he is a youth and in his forties but being young clearly is no proof of dynamic energy for doing good.
The man Yahaya Bello is busy fighting with Senator Dino Melaye who also is not innocent but has the courage to say the truth to power and speak when he sees evil. Kogi people need no envy right now as the man in charge has clearly set a higher record of bad governance more than the madman of Imo state, Owelle Rochas Okorocha. While Rochas is busy rooting for his son-in-law to succeed him, Yahaya Bello woke up on a non-working day to sack every commissi0ner in his state (with Local Government Administrators) and reversed back on this.
All in one day.
I really don’t know if this is good for our democracy that one man or Executive Governor can wake up and fire everyone that should be serving the people with him. It is this same Yahaya Bello that leaves his responsibility in Kogi, State to go and be snapping pictures with President Buhari or to go and welcome a member of his family.
The sad case of Yahaya Bello is that he has succeeded in making the young people of Kogi state be drooling over him when clearly he is setting them back more than what millennials in other parts of the world are experiencing. Kogi has a beautiful landscape, large and massive land and different opportunities that anyone (let alone a youth) can harness to create many things that are beautiful.
While many like minds believe that Rochas Okorocha needs to be sent packing unceremoniously before 2019, it is sad to see youths in another part of the country worshipping someone that is doing something worse than what Okoocha did with his statues and nepotism that has been become a family business affair. Douglas House and Lord Lugard house have been dens of cluelessness, bad governance and irresponsible leadership all ramifications.
Owelle Rochas Okorocha I know has entered the hall of infamy in history but it is left for the people of Kogi state to put Yahaya Bello in his place by demanding something far worthy than what he is offering now. Clearly, it is not leadership or good governance.
