President Donald Trump is set to meet with President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya on Monday 27 August 2018 after his first meeting with an African leader President Muhammadu Buhari in April 2018.
Financial Times reported that the first meeting Trump had with Buhari led to President Trump telling his aides that he doesn’t want to ever meet someone so lifeless again.
With President Donald Trump’s meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta, 56 the advocates of US-Africa relationships hopes a younger Kenyetta will breathe fresh life into the relationship between the United States and the African region.
Someone who is in touch with Senior US administration and the delegation from Kenya had this to say about President Donald Trump.
“Trump likes chemistry. Africa has never been high on his radar but if the big guy likes you he’ll find a way to make things work.”
Donald Trump since he resumed office as President has not developed any foreign policy on the African continent.

Bloomberg News reported that Senate President Bukola Saraki said he is considering running for President in 2019. This received a wide response in Nigeria as President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking a second term in office. However, Bukola Saraki said he is only consulting. He has not declared and the recess of the National Assembly is a perfect time for him to do so. The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association has come out to say that he (Saraki) should resign from his position or be forced to do so. Interesting times.
