The sworn affidavit Henry Sunday Adewunmi Osindeinde, deputy registrar, head of school examination department, WAEC proved that he wrote the exams in May/April 1981 at Ede Muslim High School in Osun state.

In view of this allegation, the Nigeria Police Force Criminal Investigation Department (FCID), Alagbon, Lagos on August 2 started an investigation that led to the arrest of Mr Khalid Abbas who is the Principal of Ede Muslim High School I.

Mr Abbas was taken to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) Osogbo.

In a court ruling by Justice Othoman Musa, he ordered WAEC to confirm the sworn affidavit or deny that Senator Adeleke never sat for the exams in 1981 at Ede Muslim High School in Ede, Osun State.

WAEC confirmed that he sat for it today.

However, the Nigerian Police issued a statement accusing Senator Adeleke of malpractice and criminal conduct.
