The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole has said that the outcome of the Osun State governorship elections is proof that Nigeria’s Democracy is flourishing.
According to the former Labour leader and Governor of Edo State Oshiomhole, “I think that for democracy to flourish, only people who can accept the pain rigging (sorry of defeat) …”
The election in Osun State according to local and foreign observers was marred by a type of rigging that has never been heard in history. Electorates were stopped from casting their votes.
Meanwhile, in their response, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) interpreted the statement by Oshiomhole as “I think that for democracy to flourish, only people who can accept the pain of rigging (sorry defeat)…”
INEC has declared the APC candidate Gboyega Oyetola as Winner of the Elections without any form of jubilation in the State of Osun.
The 2019 general elections in Nigeria has had some new entrants into the Presidential race (Presidential candidates) to challenge incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.
Some of them who already are involved in their campaigns for over 6 months came together to sign a pact; Yele Sowore, Fela Durotoye, Kingsley Moghalu, Tope Fasua, Ahmed Buhari, Alastair Soyode, among others.
14 of them were involved in an agreement to work together in Abuja at the residence of Charles Oputa aka Charley Boy who is the co-convener of the OurMumuDonDo Campaign.
The National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has released the list of screen candidates of the party. The APC Governorship candidates list was released after screening the different candidates contesting in their states.
The APC Governorship candidates list is divided into the various Geo-Political zones and states of Nigeria, with the name of the candidates and a final column for those cleared and not cleared.
