Leah Sharibu is among the 109 girls that were abducted from Government Girls Secondary School, Dapchi Yobe in February 2018 by the Islamic State West Africa (ISWA). They are a breakaway group of Boko Haram.
Leah Sharibu was held back when the some of the girls were released because she refused to denounce her faith as a Christian. 200 Days later, the World is demanding for the release of Leah Sharibu.
Members of Parliament in the United Kingdom and Civil Society Groups are showing supporting and demanding her release as a citizen of the world and girl-child.

Nigeria is in pain of many things; pain that is caused by her leadership elite who have refused to see this pain and be proactive in solving them. The pain that innocent Leah Sharibu and her colleagues from Dapchi had to go through. Pain that the people of Taraba, Benue, Yobe, Borno and the many areas where people have resorted to violence to fuel their anger against fellow citizens. There are other pains of unemployment, chaotic cities and environment and everything that puts Nigerians at risk and has gone further to push many to leave the shores of a country with unending potentials.
Leah Sharibu, we know she will return because innocently she has believed in her God, her faith and conviction at this very young age. While many are still in doubt of the veracity of this Boko Haram kidnap of these girls and the collusion of the Nigerian Army or supported by the APC-led government; Leah Sharibu has proved to be more courageous than the entire apparatus of government and the powers they wield.
