#OsunDecides2018: Press Statement by INEC

INEC has issued a statement in defence of the votes counted for Ayedadaade LGA during the Osun State gubernatorial elections. The PDP raised an alarm on the reduction of 1,000 votes from their candidate’s vote.

INEC has in a statement reiterated that the initial votes counted were correct saying no ballot papers were torn.

The supplementary elections have been set for Thursday 26th September 2018.

For what is worth Barack Obama came on the world stage as an inspiration to all manner of people; Black American community, White community, Africa, young millennials across the world and old people across the world. His story as he was good at narrating them all through his journey reflects the ideal American dream that life can be filled with happiness by a liberty and freedom that gives every equal opportunity to dream.

He brought a better message to politics, an appeal to the emotions that were initiated by the founding fathers of American democracy and a whole new dimension to the worthiness of politics and how it can be used for a greater good. His achievements may have been controversial but the legacy of great values in leadership will forever be remembered and after delivering his farewell speech in Chicago, you can still say that the Obama of 2008 has even become a better person, world leader and politician.
