Now we are in the fourth republic and it is like the second and third generation is still holding forth to the leadership of our Nation. They believe they are the only ones who can meet our daunting challenges thereby relegating what would have been the rise of the fourth generation. In fact, they did it so well that it will be hard to have what we use to have in the first republic i.e. vibrant youth participating actively in politics. The 1999 constitution has made this restriction look rather deliberate.
Come to think of it, this century is a unique one; of technology, science, crimes that were not there many years ago or in the previous century or decade. This era of technology is being championed by young minds of today who understand the trend and most of the challenges that the world now faces. The older ones might not understand it fully, their minds are not vibrant enough to even think or shift from their old thinking to this new order of living.
