The Best University in Nigeria (having ranked among the first 1000 in the world) Covenant University has unveiled a new Post-Graduate website known as the School of Post-graduate Studies.
Covenant University started with full undergraduate studies with the post-graduate studies still being developed and progressively over the years.
This has also matured into the building of a Post-Graduate Hostel and cafeteria for both Covenant University graduates and external students from across Nigeria and beyond.
The new website gives an overview and in detail of what programs are offered in the School of Post-graduate studies and they include;
A candidate seeking admission to the Master’s Degree Programme of Covenant University must be a graduate of Covenant University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Covenant University, with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division). The duration of full-time study for the award of the Master’s degree is 18 months (3 semesters), while for the part-time, the duration is 30 months (5 semesters). Candidates are also to note that there are other requirements that may be specific to a College and/or a Programme.
A candidate with CGPA of 3.5 – 3.9 on a 5.0 point scale (≥ 55%) or equivalent in the Master’s programme may be considered for M.Phil/PhD programme. The minimum duration for the full-time M.Phil/PhD programme is seven (7) semesters or three and one-half (3½) academic years. The minimum duration for the part-time M.Phil/PhD programme is nine (9) semesters or four and one-half (4½) academic years.
A Candidate seeking admission to the direct PhD Degree Programme of Covenant University must have obtained a Master’s of Covenant University or any other University recognized by the Senate of Covenant University, with a CGPA of 4.00 or 60%. Candidates that have obtained a CGPA below 4.0 but had 3.5 and above (or 55%) will be considered for the M.Phil/PhD. The M.Phil/PhD programme is intended to prepare candidates for the PhD since Covenant University does not award The M.Phil degree.

The Federal Government of Nigeria has asked the United States to be cautious about granting visa and entry into the US to Atiku Abubakar, the Presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
This was disclosed by Minister of Information Lai Mohammed while having an interactive session with media executives in Abuja on Thursday 29th November 2018.
According to him, that the timing of giving Atiku Abubakar might mean that the US government would be endorsing him for President in 2019.
