The New Director-General of the Department of State Security (DSS) Yusuf Bichi met President Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Thursday 20th September 2018.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that when Mr Bichi was ushered into the President’s office, President Muhammadu Buhari asked if they had met before.
Yusuf Bichi ‘confessed’ that he was seeing President Buhari face to face for the first time in his life.
The meeting between the two continued in a closed-door session (NAN).
Recall that President Buhari appointed Yusuf Bichi as the new Director-General of the DSS on September 13th after being recalled from retirement.
Mr Yusuf Bichi has many years of experience having undergone training in intelligence processing analysis, agent handling recruitment, intelligence processing in the UK and strategic training at the National Defense College.
The New DSS Boss brings the following skills to the job; intelligence gathering, research analysis, conflict management, general investigation, risk and vulnerability operations, counterintelligence, protective operation and human resources management.
Bichi has worked in as the State Director of Security in Jigawa, Niger, Sokoto and Abia states. At various times he was the Director, National Assembly Liaison, (National War College), Directorate of Security Enforcement, Directorate of Operations, Directorate of Intelligence, Directorate of Inspection and Directorate of Administration and Finance.
