The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will today begin their Presidential campaign in the seat of the Caliphate, Sokoto State, Nigeria.
The PDP is campaigning to come back to power in 2019 with former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar as the Presidential candidate alongside Peter Obi as his running mate.
In a statement by the party, they are on a journey “to reclaim Nigeria from the shackles of poverty, bloodletting, economic depression, hopelessness, stagnation, etc”.
1. Fellow Nigerians, we bring you greetings from Sokoto State, the home of the caliphate. The journey to reclaim Nigeria from the shackles of poverty, bloodletting, economic depression, hopelessness, stagnation, etc has begun. #TheAtikuPlanSokoto #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain
With the Atiku campaign focusing on Getting Nigeria to Work Again, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) is faced with a Herculean task of winning the incumbent APC-led administration.
The Buhari-led administration has shown no sign of a free and fair election in 2019 with the elections that took place in Ekiti and Osun State, Nigeria. While Nigerians are sceptical about the PDP, Atiku Abubakar and his brand continue to gain momentum as it connects to young Nigerians with a strong and consistent message of jobs, economy and opportunities for all.
How will the PDP run a campaign based on the real issues and be able to challenge the APC who has the power of the Police, the Military and the electoral umpire, INEC?
2. The @Mbuhari led @OfficialAPCNg government destroyed our once robust economy in just three years. The situation in the country today is synonymous to pre 1999 when the @OfficialPDPNig took over. Come, let’s rescue Nigeria together. #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain
3. Think about the future generation. Think about the effects of lopsided appointments, sectionalism, maladministration, abuse of court processes and disobedience to judgments of courts. #LetsGetNigeriaWorkingAgain. @Atiku Is the answer
The stories of men are captured in biographies, autobiographies, memoirs and diaries. In this article, I share 7 vital benefits from exploring the stories of other people. Dr. David Oyedepo, Chancellor of Covenant University said, “The secrets of men are in their stories.” These people need not be great but their invaluable experiences form a storehouse of wisdom to draw inspiration from.
- The stories of others HELP YOU DEVELOP STRENGTH FOR OVERCOMING ODDS IN LIFE. There are occasions in our lives that stretch us. There are events that cause us to almost give up the realisation of our dreams. There are rich words that can enable us confront these situations effectively.
