2019: Coalition of Progressive Political Parties Endorse President Buhari

The Coalition of Progressive Political Parties has yet again endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari for 2019 general elections next month. The CPPP is made up of the following political parties in Nigeria; Advanced Allied Party; Africa Peoples Alliance; Freedom & Justice Party; KOWA Party; New Progressive Movement; Peoples Democratic Movement; Accord Party; Sustainable National Party; New Nigeria Peoples Party; Unity Party of Nigeria; United Progressive Party; National Democratic Liberty Party; Nigeria Elements Progressive Party; and Yes Electoral Party.

The Coalition of Progressive Political Parties endorsed President Muhammadu Buhari in 2015 and this time President Buhari thanked them for their consistency.

According to President Buhari; “I respect your consistency, firmness, integrity and steadfastness,” President Buhari told the leadership of the coalition.

“I am happy with your decision to continue to support us. I respect your consistency from 2015 to date. Your belief in one Nigeria is admirable. This visit has raised my morale; you support us quietly, without noise, and it encourages us to press on.”

The leader of the Coalition Bashir Yusuf Ibrahim said that their endorsement is coming after the successes of President Muhammadu Buhari in the fight against insurgency; efforts to redress the country’s huge infrastructural deficit; and the yeoman’s fight against corruption, among others.

According to their membership, the Coalition of Progressive Political Parties has parties that have been around since 1999 and also diaspora party the YES Nigeria Party.

President Muhammadu Buhari is seeking for re-election in 2019 against other Presidential candidates.
