There is no doubt that there is and has always been a trouble with Nigeria and when there is trouble, the needful thing to do is to fix it. Correcting an ill on the other hand does not depend on just saying fix the challenge but on how to fix the challenge. The things happening in Nigeria today; from social, political and economic are all pointers to that fact that something is actually wrong. We are not doing some things right and the earlier we all come to that conviction, the better for us.
There is an urgency of now (a challenge) but we need an urgency of how ( the process, strategy, etc.). I hear a lot of people calling for a restructuring both among the great and small but no one seems to talk about how we should go about it. Those who do just speak vaguely that we should go back to the parliamentary system, true federalism, regional government and what have you. I think we need a more specific, comprehensive, and all-inclusive approach to solve our daunting problems. I will like to add here that for a President Buhari to come up and decide to restructure the ministries, then he can do a lot in this direction, but of course, he is not a tyrant and would require some legislative backing.
